Lorna Jones from the Riverside Inn in beer garden next to the river Severn
The Riverside Inn - Cound, nr Shrewsbury, SY5 6AF
Just outside Shrewsbury is The Riverside Inn with plenty of parking but it’s the location that really makes this pub really stand out.

Pub goers said this was an excellent pub, with really friendly staff and the best food in Shropshire.

Will Dunhill described it as follows” Situated on a beautiful bend in the river and with a garden populated with very happy chickens, the Riverside Inn is a dog-friendly pub that showcases some of the best food and scenery Shropshire has to offer.”

We think Jane Frost’s comment also sum’s it up nicely” I have been going to this place for about 40 years (since I was a child!) I go there on my way to and from north Wales. The food is wonderful and so is the service. It is comfortable and welcoming with a super riverside location, this makes it fab to eat outside in the summer. All the food is home made the booze is nice as well!!”

Congratulations on being one of Shropshire’s Top 10 pubs 2010.
